Is it an engine with a carburetor? If so, I can help with this information:

If the car stalls when it warms up, as you said, then here's a handy diagnostic article that specifically addresses this issue of yours, explaining the most probable cause of it:

If the car stalls when you brake/stop, as you said, then here's a handy diagnostic article that specifically addresses this issue of yours, explaining the probable cause of it:

These articles should help.
Good luck!

Run tests. Spark to plugs? Good tune up parts? Correct fuel pressure key on?

Both turn signals on my 1998 Ford Escort zx2 don't flash.

The 98 Escort is actually a Mazda 323 with Ford trim. It uses a solid state flasher relay for both turn signals and hazard lights.
The relay is behind the speedometer. My guess is the relay has died.
You can look it up online or check with your local auto parts store to get a visual.

Car stalling out.

Hi Kiking42100,

If you are standard get off the cluch!!! LOL.. REPLACE the clutch or there is another problem u have - Fuel pump? Don't be a speed demon. 70 is not slow! Some transmissions have a "security limit" and will cut off depanding on your year/make, and over load your trani!! Play with it but not that hard!!!! - If this isn't your resolve than it is electronical. Good luck!

Car stalls at traffic lights and stop signs

There is a plastic tube that goes between the PCV valve and the intake manifold. Inspect the rubber elbow ends of this tube very carefully, they deteriorate and cause a vacuum leak that causes stalling. Sometimes you can hear them hissing while the engine is running. This is a very common problem.

Car judders and stalls when stopping

Sounds like a weak battery, have the battery tested, if it gives out a low voltage or other faulty behaviour the computer will not run right, making the guages mess up and the engine run badly. Replace it if it is "weak" when tested. should solve your problem!
Leave feedback good or bad.
