Question about 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser

1 Answer

I hear a clunk when shifting gears (sometimes). It usually doesn't happen at higher speeds. Basically the same noise happens when I hit bumps in the road. The car is manual transmission--does it sound like a clutch problem or a suspension problem?

Clunk noise when turning right

Could be the drive axle, but may also be a shifting lower control arm or strut. Usually a faulty drive axle clunks every time the axle turns.

That noise sounds to me like a Ball Joint problem. I would check to see if you have fittings to grease the front suspention.
