Question about 2001 Audi A4

Audi 2001 Avant stalls after replacing coil packs

Get Codes for ECM Relay and one time for Camshaft Adjuster. Car has now stalled out four times, almost like a short. It turns over just fine but won't start showing Traction Control dash light (Triangle with ! in it and a circular arrow around it) and EPC and ABS lights come on.

Don't want to throw parts at it so may start with the fuse in ECM... per your suggestion. Did that fix the problem?

Check for boost and intake leaks, these amazingly will cause the TC, EPC, and ABS lights to go on!!

Vehicle began shutting down when braking after a recent fuel up from "E", to half a tank. The next day when started, it was stalling, and only allowed me to reach 20mph. After about 100 ft., the...

Three things to check: Coil pack (the main box that spark plug wires connect to), Spark plugs and wires, that's not what's it, your fuel pump is gone. Definitely would get a fuel pump either way due to stalling of the car and possible excess air and a coil pack as well do to a malfunction reading with the emissions module causing the spark plugs to lose energy all at once which then can lead to the coil pack going bad and sending false emission rate timings threw the fuel management system causing the fuel pump to have the sensor go bad. This happened to me as well. Same exact thing. After I did those fixes, car was like I have never driven a true Audi till that day I changed the coil pack and fuel pump. Eventually to be safe I got all new 4+ Bosch spark plugs and wires just to prevent and imbalances. Changes your car into a pure German luxury mobile.

MOST OF THE TIME BEST TO LET DEALERSHIP REPROGRAM IDLE BECAUSE STALLING AND WAITING FOR CAR TO RELEARN TO IDLE.CAN BE DANGEROUS.FOR A CAR STALLING OUT AROUND MOVING TRAFFIC.

2001 dts stalls 10 minutes after every startup

Its possible you have a bad connection somewhere that heats up and causes a current drop. Also if you know what system is shutting down alot of times a relay can do this. Try switching relays. What would shut a car down is ECM/ Ignition or fuel pump relay. If you have others that are the same switch them.
