Question about 2006 Jeep Liberty

1 Answer

Rear driver side window doesn't work

I have the same problem, but when I removed the panel of the door, I can see a cable not attached to anything. Do I have to replace the motor or can someone show me where this cable connects to? Or, because the cable is not connected, does that mean the motor is unfixable?

Rear driver side power window will not work

I'm guessing you've removed the door panel since you said you removed the switch. but just in case...you'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. Then pull back the weather seal (can't reuse it, but it's not that important) and you will be able to access everything. It sounds like the motor may have died you on if you cannot hear it...it could also be the regulator or linkage has broken

How do i replace the window motor

This is a common problem with driver side window. Its just a wear and tear problem. Don't go to the dealership, the Regulator will cost you over $230. Go to Amazon.com and search for the part number which should cost you only $70-80 or so. If you go to a glass place they will charge you dealership price plus $150 per hour. How to remove REAR interior door panel? Problem

You'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. If needed, you can pull back the weather seal (can't reuse it, but it's not that important) and you will be able to access everything inside the door
