Check if there is no power at the bulb socket or check all the fuses, if they are good you have a bad backup light switch, are a broke wire.

Brake lights do not light up when peddle is pressed. bulbs have been changed and, fuses are good

If the high mount light works, and you know the bulbs are good, the problem is probably in the turn signal switch.

1997 dodge no lights everything else except that the head lights dont work

You should have a 40amp fuse and a 15amp fuse that powers the headlight switch. If those are good, and you know the bulbs are good, check for voltage at the dimmer switch.

Dont have brake lights on a 1997 gmc Z71. the fuse is good and bulb. wires seem to connected

Check to see if you have power to the break switch first the Check the Brake pedal switch to make sure it is working with a meter. Is the power passing through the switch.
I have seen the wire chafed under the dash passing through the cutouts in the dash chassis just above the steering column.

Parking and backup lights quit working.everything else works including instrument lights.checked fuses and parking light relay both are good. Can someone please come up with a suggestion.

Try checking out your light bulbs in parking and backup light locations. Sometimes when one bulb goes out or just comes loose, it stops the entire circuit from operating.

Brake lights dont work, fuse good ,bulbs good, third light works

The third brake light switch works off a module for it is a sealed unit with a inverter that takes 12 volts beefing the voltage to 110 volts for the light emitting diode lights in it. It these terms you will need a new brake light switch located by the brake pedal

1997 gmc 3500, no brake lights, already changed the brake light switch. still have same problem. i have running lights and turn signals, and flashers. can anyone help me fix this?

Hello , do you have amber colored turn lenses or red? I ask this because maybe the bulbs are not dual filament type in the brake light socket. There maybe a brake light fuse also. Do you have a third brake light as well? Does it work? Quinn , Arizona

95 Chevy truck tail lights don't work; everything else- brake, turn, backup & hazard do.I checked fuses in dash, replaced headlamp switch-still won't work.

check the bulbs they are a duel fillament bulb possibly have wrong bulb or one side is burnded out. if I remeber correctly the part No#3157 it should be stamped on base of bulb these should be the 2 top bulbs.the lower reverse light is a single fillament part No#3156 also check the sockets and plugs for a good connecton.
