Sounds like the temp door under dash is stuck in the warm position. Have a look under the dash and see if the vacuum line is off the actuator that controls the temp door. Sometimes they will have a small plastic clip that will break or slip loose. Good luck.

Try removing the glove box and get a look at the top of the box to see if it is there.

I have water coming out of a tube on my fire wall on passenger side what could it be?

Is it a short little tube not connected to anything? If so this is the EVAP drain. Every "modern" car that has been manufactured with air conditioning has the same thing. As the air moves through the very cold evaporator core the moister in the air condenses. that condensed water has to be allowed to drain. Hence the evap drain. on a hot humid day you can watch just about every car with the windows up and you will see water dripping from them.

Ac vent selector wont swich

not sure why you want to bypass it , this gismo moves damper under dash to allow wether you get cold or hot air out of vents depending on what you select on dash control (hi /low vents) if theres a problem with it most times it comes from ac condensate collection pan drain clogging up and water spills over into duct work rusting the damper shafts making it impossible for damper movers to move them , producing a fault or hot or freezing cold air all the time , sorry no easy fix for this but removing underdash ductwork and cleaning / replacing them lots of hours upside down with your feet on seats and head under dash , just kidding ...... most times we just take front seats out that makes plenty of room

Ac hot on drivers side

you better check the venting pipes to make sure they are not seperated chances are it will be in a pain in the **** place to get at.the only way to see if the damper door is operating you will have to remove the section and try it looking in each end of the piping if possible

AC appears to be working. Compressor cycles on and off. Condenser gets cold but air is HOT.

how quickly does the compressor cycle on and off? also, the condenser should be hot, not cold. it is similar to a radiator, its job is to take the heat off the refrigerant to cool it down. if the comp. cycling quickly, its usually just a low charge on refrigerant. have it recharged.

1995 Lesabre blows hot on drivers side, cold on passenger side

THIS IS A GUESS. Both sides probabley have "mix" dampers that regulate temp by mixing hot and cold air to make you comfortable. Passenger side must not work properly, stepper motor? Dirty actuator? Temp sensor on passenger not working? Don't honestly know but I'm not sure a do it yourselfer could figure it out. Sounds complicated.

Heater always seems to be on

you my have a bad ground in the motor blower swicth allso have you dampers check there my by a vacumm leak which means there not shutting to keep out the hot air if you don hear the damper opening and closing when you go from heat to a/c thats most likely your problem

I have a 2000 dodge ram 1500. The air conditioner blows just warm air. The system was working when engine was shut off but did not work properly upon restart today. The AC/Max A/C switch seems to work...

If the compressor is outputting cold freon maybe the vent in the dash is not opening to allow the air to flow thru the condenser. Try operating the heat/cool switch and the recirculting air control in an effort to get it to open the damper.
