Don't remember for sure but I believe its at the lower front corner of the engine, or, under the timing cover. (belt housing)

1988 dodge dynasty cuts off w/heavy exhaust when restarted also stalling too restart what can cause this commotion

Hi Monica IM AL the owner of Big As Auto Repair.

Monica, it sound like you have a restricted exhaust system causing back pressure on the engine. If you know someone who can drop the exhaust and after dropping the exhaust, if it starts? If it does start then you'll need to have the exhaust worked on. Hope this helps and please visit my auto-repair-website: http://www.bigasautorepair.com/

Waterpump replacement cost 1988 300zx?

It should cost somewhere between $350-$500. The website that you can go to and check out prices on auto repairs is www.repairpal.com. It's a pretty neat site, you just put in the type of car, where you're located and what you need replaced and it will give you an idea of what you can expect to pay. let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks for rating my response and for using FixYa!

White Smoke coming out of bonnet & exhaust, stinks of burning oil 1989 dodge dynasty is blowing out white smoke now, and it does smell like burning oil, i owned a 1988 dodge dynasty and it did the same...

Hi,

Sounds typical of head gasket failure.

With this you get oil into cylinders / water into cylinders, burning oil, loosing water - but no leaks. "boiling" of radiator and overflows.

Check your coolant and oil levels - they will be low.

Get a few quotes for a head gasket replacement - and timing belt change, as it has to come off when you do this anyway & no sense putting an old one on - they often snap if retensioned.

If this solves your problem, please take a moment to rate as Fixya! thanks.
