Question about 1997 Acura CL
Sometimes it will. Have the code read. You can do this yourself at advance auto for free. The OBD reader will tell you what the problem is and help you determine the best way to have it fixed. The code reader will also allow you to clear the code and reset the check engine light.

There is no way to know why that light is on without a Scan. There are hundreds of codes in the cars today especially with the luxury cars that have body control computers.
Try taking it to an Advance auto or Autozone. They will usually scan if for free and that will give you a place to begin to answer your question. The radio problem I believe is unrelated. In my years of experience I have not seen the radio make the CE light come on. The CE light relates only to safety or emissions.
Hope this helps. Get the code and post it and someone will help you figure it out.

SOURCE: Engine Light is on when i drive
You'll have to run diagnostics on it. An analyzer is connected to the car through a cable and it analyzes the computer and spits out codes that tell you why the light is on. Auto shops do this, or you can purchase a home diagnostic analyzer at an auto parts store.

Likley there is a misfire in one of the cylinders. Usually due to worn out sparkplugs or wires. A check by the local mechanic, using his/her computor will pinpoint the problem. Or go to your local auto supply store & purchase the little computor to connect to your car computor (under dash at steering wheel). This will allow you to turn off the light. Cost is about $170.00 (Can.)
Hope this helps!
