2002 volvo s40 t4

My car is blowing out oil from dipstick after replacing the outlet manufold. Problem occurs from 5500rpm and higher.

Hello there. I have a Volvo V70 that I bought recently and it had the same problem. I left the ignition switched on for about two hours and after that time the reading had changed from OFF to Code. I then entered the code and Hey Presto It worked. When I purchased the car it too had no code. I went to a Volvo Dealership, with proof of ownership of the vehicle i.e. Log Book and proof of ID , I used my Passport, and they gave me the radio code.The only dowside was I had to pay them £10 for this code but I feel it was worth it. I suggest you try this too. Good Luck.

There should be a cold start solenoid to put gas int o the manifold to cold start, it might be inoperable. This is the choke for a fuel injected engine.

Most auto parts stores can sell you the proper belt for your car, if you tell them the model, year and what accessories the car has, such as power steering and air conditoning. Your car has a belt tensioner that must be loosened to remove or replace the belt!

Auto transmission oil where do i check it sorry volvo s40 x reg

Some cars do not have a dipstick for the transmission, they have two plugs on the side of the trans, one to fill, one to drain. I don't know about yours, but look for the dipstick, usually on the right side, passenger side, of the engine. Some have 2 marks on them, one for hot, one for cold. If you find it, and it is low, make sure you get the right oil back in there, there are about 15 different kinds, most have standardized to one type.

Cracked head or blown head gasket. This is a result of coolant or water mixing with the oil. There may also be signs of this in the coolant in the radiator
