If this is a popping type noise need to check universal joints or check the play in rear end gear- if both are god pull brake drums off and check to make sure brake shoe has not come loose

I have the same issue it sounds like. 99 Z71 4wheel drive. Accelerating from stop gives me a cracking or clanking sound(sounds like from the rear), accelerating whilel moving creates tons of vibration(feels like from the rear), and when stopping...vibration until almost stopped than the clanking starts. Drive shaft out of balance? U-joints bad? Rear end going out?

Check the rear differential for leaks. Look behind both tires. If it is wet , the bearings and seals need replaced. I would put a bearing kit in the differential.

It sounds like you have a lot of wear on your ping and pinion gears in the rear end. Ford has a product you can purchase from their parts dept that will help with the noise but eventually you will need to get the gears replaced. The product is a friction modifier designed just for rear ends.

Noise from rear suspension on 2003 Honda Odyssey.

a clunking clanging noise sounds very much like your stabilizer bar end links and bushings. you have a thin rear "sway" bar on the rear of your odyssey. this can cause a whole lot of noise. grab each side and pull/push. if it feals loose, replace the end links and bushings.
