2002 malibu 3100 engine i need number 1 thru 6 cylinders

The engine is mounted transversely (sideways)-the front of the engine is on the passenger side where the serpentine belt runs. On the backside bank, bank one, closest to the firewall, are cylinders 1-3-5, from front of engine to rear. So number one cylinder is on the back bank, and nearest to the passenger side of the car (bank simply refers to which side of the engine on a v6 or v8, bank one or bank two. Bank one is always the side where the #1 cylinder is located, and bank two is the opposite side.) On the front bank or radiator side, bank two, the cylinders are 2-4-6, front to back of engine.

The firing order is 1-2-3-4-5-6, easy to remember.

2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor 3.8l v6 my service in light is on giving trouble code P0141 Oxygen Sensor Bank 1 Sensor 2 but i dont understand the location of this sensor i replaced what i thought was bank 1...

Oxygen sensors monitor the combustion by products produced by your engine and send this information to your emission control system.
The location of sensors can vary from one model to the next.
Suggested is to obtain shop manual for your model to use as a reference.

The V6 engine (any V6) was invented to give the appearance of a V8 but reduce costs.
Unfortunately it's impossible to balance the firing order of three cylinder engine banks so you will have a difficult time getting any V6 to idle smooth.
There is nothing wrong with the engine you simply have to live with the lumpy idle or buy a V8 car.

Spark plug firing order

It should be
1-3-5 --- Back Bank-- Closer to Firewall
2-4-6 --- Front Bank-- Closer to Radiator

Coil set up is 3
How ever this is for a V6 2.7 DOHC motor, your vehicle came with 3 different ones..

Now if you have the 2.4-- its 1-3-4-2
