Question about 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
I had the same problem. There was a broken orange wire going from the frame going to the door incased in a rubber boot. I pulled the rubber boot back and saw the wire broken in two. re-connect the wire , and try to add extra it seems it is too short and broke under stress. note: it also controls mirrors and dome lights.

You need to go to the dealer and have the body control module checked and replaced. The bdc mod controls everything pretty much inside cabin. The dealer can put it on the scanner and check. But with lock , windows , dash lights the body control module is bad. you have to get from the dealer because they have to program it for your jeep. and they are not that exspensive they go out all the time in jeeps.
