Question about 2004 Saab 9-3
Hey guys , thanks so much for any suggestions.
My car is beginning to not wanna start up completely. The car will turn on but, for the first minute of being turned on, the car engine seems to die down and then pick up, for about 30 sec's to a minute or so..... The whole car seems to **** or shake , but not violently.
Also is that when im driving up hill or otherwise, the car does'nt seem to have the power any more and seems "too" slow.
Last, Im having to refill my coolant tank at least once or twice a month.
About a month and a hlaf ago i took my car to a Saab only auto shop and the gentleman who owns the place said he could not find anything wrong with the car. Instead i paid for new brakes, rotors, and pads....At that time I noticed all of the above listed and now seems to be getting worse....... I live in Atlanta , Ga....
The "Refill Coolant now" is a problem on Saab 9-3 Aeros. I have this car. There is a problem with the radiator overflow tank (small black box). I had mine replaced 4 times in two years. The box literally melts and you get a hole and the coolant slowly leaks out. Typically when this happens when you turn off the car, the fan will run for an extended period of time as well trying to cool the engine down. I took it in a couple of months ago and was told there was now a fix that Saab came out with. They apparently replaced the box. My service dealer is Saab Austin (there is only one) if your guys want to call them. That said, it I just had to refill the coolant again today because the warning light was on. Not sure if it's the same problem or just that it's been 104 degrees in Austin for the past 45 days. Watch for dead batteries too. Saab is having a big issue with thier batteries not holding a charge. Keep jumper cables handy.

Coolant is what makes the car keep cool. it wouldnt keep it from running. sounds like a gas problem. check the fuel pressure and check all the fuel compartments. take it to a mechanic.. not Saab. they will do it for cheap maybe nothing.
