Do you fill the coolant everyday? sounds like you have a small hole in your radiator, or your hose is blown, or simply or radiator is simply stuffed. see there is a hose line that connects from your radiator to your gearbox wich passes thrugh the radiator to cool the oil down then pases back through the gearbox. with a stuffed radiator you can blow your gearox and your cylinder head, now if you blow your g/box you will be up for alot of money, same with the head, as whenyou do the head, you pull the head off and have it crack tested, leak tested, and durability tested, if this is fine you will be ok, if it is in anyway have these problems,it can become very expensive. see your mechanic for a free pressure test or a free elak detector test to solve your problem.

Fan with burn smell when engine switched off

It is normal for the fan to run for a short while (few minutes) after turning off the car to allow the heat in the radiator to dissipate. The time may be dependent on the coolant temperature or it could just be a fixed time (i.e. so many minutes). The burning smell could be a loose belt, but I suspect the radiator fan is electrical and not belt-driven. I think the burning smell could be oil from a leaking gasket. The oil drips onto the hot engine and voila... burnt oil. Not sure what you mean by new (new to you or 2013-14 model), but new cars should not have any leaking fluids. A stuck break caliper could aslo produce a burning smell.

ENGINE SMEELS HOT AFTER DRIVING ANY DISTANCE.

Hi Dianne, sorry, but I have to ask: after the oil change, are you sure the oil was re-filled? Maybe some got spilled on the exhaust manifold and needs to burn off (any smoke?) Is there coolant visible in the overflow tank? If the coolant is low, perhaps there is a leak in a hose to and from the radiator. "Hot smell" can also be rubber burning, i.e. drive belts, clutch pressure plate. Hard for me to tell w/o being there-hope this helps!

I smell gas but i'm not lossing any.

My first question is - is the check engine light on when you are driving ?
You could have a leaking injector which could be causing fuel to escape thru the exhaust. You could also have a leak in the vent system for the gas tank.
The need for coolant and oil if no leaks are visible usually means the engine is burning the fluids because of an internal engine leak or head gasket problem.

The plastic box that you put anti-freeze in; having to replace it with a full thing of anti freeze- weekly. No leak is visible. What is it?

No sign of leak means that your vehicle is likely burning it. An internal coolant leak will cause this. Bad gas mileage, white, sweet smelling exhaust will confirm.

This will likely destroy your motor and exhaust soon.

My heat quit working&now im having to had water to everyday

Heat not working is either a sign of a bad thermostat or bad water pump. Since you have to add coolant I would also imagine you have a major leak. Try to verify where the leak is coming from. Heater cores can also fail but you would have coolant in your car on the passenger side floor and you would notice the smell of antifreeze. Do not drive your car until you fix this. This will destroy the engine in no time!

Coolant Loss from Overflow Tank

It may be you have a leak in your head gasket and the coolant is burning up in your engine. Does your oil look milky at all and is your exhaust smoke white at all. It may be a small enough leak that it burns off enough without any symptoms other than you having to fill up the tank..

Now you can test if you have a leak in your head gasket. If your pressure cap is good, start the car cold with radiator cap off, (and radiator full), it will put up steady bubbles, the worse it is leaking the worse the bubbles will "flow"!

An occasional "small bubble" is not a problem, as it will push out air trapped inside engine till it has heated up and thermostat has opened.

Another cause could be if you had the thermostat changed and it was inverted by accident. The "pellet" end (one with the little "wart" around the shaft from top to bottom), goes down in water (from engine)

Engine smells like rubber burning and temperature gauge at normal temperature. Water/coolant leaking out of reservoir and needs to be filled ever 2 days. Oil level is normal, but when it's hot outside the...

Generally that smell is caused by an oil leak that is getting on either the exhaust pipe or manifold (doesn't take much to smell). As far as bottle getting low, I've got a 93 that never stays full but only needs coolant in the radiator about once every two months. Been like that for two or three years and has never overheated. I'm sure there is a small leak somewhere, but I'm not driving myself crazy looking for it. Check all hose connections, and look on the ground after being parked overnight...If it's leaking, something will show up. But if the radiator is staying full, just check it when checking oil level.
