A real DTC code.
17 , 94 Accord
the means VSS is dead, vehical speed sensor (miles per hour)
so , that begs the question is the speedometer dead or odometer
dead or acting funny IN ANY WAY?
is this an A/T Car or M/T car, both have VSS, so... cant answer.
Auto or stick, ill pretend, AUTO.
VSS moves all over the place, in all cars. all models and all years.
on this car, its odd.
quote FSM:
Accords and Preludes use an external sensor mounted on top of the power steering speed sensor in the engine compartment. The power steering speed sensor is gear-driven and controls the steering boost in relation to the speed of the vehicle. An electric pulser unit is mounted on top of this unit and is coupled to it by a small shaft. The motion from the lower unit is transferred to the upper unit; the resultant electrical signal is sent to the appropriate control units.

most cars old use the speedometer VSS sensor inside
on newer cars 1996 (on avg) the sensor is on the tail shaft. and in speedo.
on very new cars there are 3 VSS.... (dont ask)

on my 96 car, the tranny VSS can fail and then FALL back to the
SPEEDO head. and tranny still shifts but is funky,
the FSM covers all this, i recommend getting one, to understand
how it all works.

your car has and electronic speedometer
the VSS orange wire , sends speed data to the PCM, TCM, cruise.
the PCM then sets the speedo dial, and uses this info to run TCM
controls to the transmission.
your orange wire signal is dead or flaky.

Trouble code po700 dodge 1500

Many vehicles have a control module for the automatic transmission called a transmission control module (TCM). The engine control module (ECM) communicates with the TCM to monitor the automatic transmission for faults. If the TCM detects a fault in the automatic transmission and sets a transmission related fault code, the ECM is informed of this also and sets a P0700 in the ECM memory. This illuminates the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) to let the driver know there is a problem. If this code is present and the MIL (Malfunction Indicator Lamp) is illuminated that basically means there is at least one transmission code set in the TCM's memory. P0700 is an informational code only. It doesn't point to a direct fault in the engine, only a general fault in the transmission. More diagnosis is necessary to identify what the transmission fault is. This requires a scan tool that will communicate with the transmission module.

1997 honda accord tranmission problem code p0700 drive 4 flashes

Symptoms Symptoms of a P0700 DTC may include:
  • Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination
  • The transmission may exhibit drivability problems like slipping, etc.
Causes More often then not, the cause of this code is that there is a transmission problem of some kind. The TCM detected the problem and set a code. P0700 means that a fault code is stored in the TCM. However this doesn't rule out the possibility of a failed PCM or TCM (unlikely).
Possible Solutions For a P0700 the only real solution is to acquire a scan tool that will communicate with the transmission control module. Extracting this code from the TCM will be the first step in repairing the fault in the transmission.
If the TCM compatible scan tool will not communicate with the Transmission Control Module then that is a good indication that there may be a fault with the TCM itself.

Does anyone know what a transmission code 63 is for 1993 toyota t-100 with an a340e transmission? Thanks

On the a340e transmission that would be a shift solenoid circuit malfunction. You can purchase a "solenoid kit" that comes with two solenoids and mounting bracket, they can be easily replaced by dropping the transmission pan. They are attached with a single bolt (10mm)---Remove the bolt, unplug them from the wiring harness and pop them out of the ports they are seated in. Lightly coat the o-rings of the new solenoids with some ATF and insert them into their ports.
Good luck, i hope this helps.

89 F250 460 door sticker says trans code "k" what

Transmission Types : Ford E4OD/4R100, 4 Speed, Automatic Transmission
Comments: w/ Shallow Pan = 20 bolt holes 4 speed

Drive Trains : Four Wheel Drive
Transmission Types : Ford C6, 3 Speed, Automatic Transmission =17 bolts 3speed

What does the dash indicator say and does the stick have an od button on it? there is only 1 3 speed for the 460 and only 1 4speed for the 460

Engines:{300, 302, 351w}, {400, 351m, 460}, {6.9L, 7.3L IDI}, {352, 360, 390, ect.}

so you should have the 3 speed acording to the code

Highlander transmission jerky

you have had the problem for 17 years and never bothered to have it fixed under warranty
The manufacture is only liable for the problem if you were on their case for 17 years
well try running the fault codes now to see if there are fault codes reported ( use a scanner with the right protocol for the toyota ECM)
Maybe the problem is not the transmission as you suspect but somewhere else
What transmission do you have
is it an automatic or a CVtransmission
There are substantial differences
