Question about Chevrolet Tahoe
The '01 tahoe interior lights are supplied power via the Inadvertant Power Relay - which is controlled by the BCM (Body Control Module).
Either the IP Relay has failed - or the BCM has failed.

P.S. The '03 seat problem sounds like binding or limit switch problem.

I checked the GM shop manual for a Tahoe and found the section that goes step by step for this lighting
problem. The problem is I
don't have a scanner and there is too much complicated text to try to
The things to check are: shorts between the panel dimmer switch, the panel dimmer switch itself, the door jamb switches, the interior lamp control module, the keyless entry module, door lock control module. I hope this gives some ideas for all of you to check out.

Tips for a great answer:
Nov 15, 2016 | Cars & Trucks
The liftgate lamps
You can't turn them on manually ?
This could be a BCM problem , this best left to a ASE certified repair shop or the dealer .
