Bad connection. Re-do all alternator connections. Could be regulator, but, check connections first. If you found this helpful, please rate, thank you.

2012 Grand Caravan. How do I turn the battery light off after installing a new battery?

Test the alternator. The battery light is for the charging system. Once the charging system is working with the engine running, the light should go off. If your light stays on with engine running, the alternator may need service or replacement.

To test the charging system, just put a voltmeter on the battery with engine running. The voltmeter should register at least 13.5 volts- alternator is charging. If you only show battery voltage with engine running, like 12.2-12.8 volts, the alternator or charging system is not working. The battery light should be on to signify this.

Battery drains when car is on. Verified it is not

Sure sounds like a bad alternator to me-how did you verify the alt is okay? It should be putting out around 13.5 volts. Let engine idle-remove positive battery cable-if engine dies immediately, it IS the alternator.

If the alternator only puts out about 12/13 volts, the car's voltage consumption could be exceeding that; hence, intermittent charge/battery light.

The battery has 12.6 volts. The battery/charge light will come on if your car's voltage requirements exceed that. (Alternator pulley not spinning fast enough?) Loose alternator belt slipping could also cause this symptom.

Alternators CAN go inoperative intermittently.

Hope this helps.

Flashers stay on all time

Your factory alarm is sensing the low voltage, and it assumes someone is trying to tamper with the battery. If you can't reset your alarm shortly after the jumper leads are attached, your battery is more than likely unable to hold a charge. Have a local autoparts store check your battery with a load meter to see if it is "dead".
You will want to do this asap since your car is more than likely running off the alternator, and it will fail very quickly if you continue to drive the vehicle.
