I have 2007 Altima Brake Light problem

I have 2007 Altima and when I drive the car the "Brake Light" comes on for couple of seconds then turns off for lil bit and then comes back on. The Emergency Brake is not engaged. Also if the Brake light is on and I put a lil pressure on the brake, it turns off. One solution I have, its probably means that I have a low brake fluid. But just wanted to get anyone other advice of what it could be.

KSB, Yeah it was because the brake fluid was a bit low. Filled it to the Max line, the light turn right off. Those sensors are really sensitive. I guess thats a good thing.

I had this problem and it turned out to be the Master Cylinder! I thought it was brake fluid too, but wasn't. I took the car in and they would not release it back to me because it is a driving hazard! Luckily, everything was under warranty, including the rental car. Make sure you get that checked!

My 2007 Altima wont start and its not the battery or the brake switch

My guess would be either the transmission switch or your alarm system activated for some reason while you were driving assuming your battery and alternator is good?

How do I change the rear brake light for 2007 nissan altima?

There should be a screw or two holding the lens in on the outside of the vehicle. Take those out and pull out the lens. Besides the screws there are a couple of compressing tabs that make it a firm pull out. If those screws are not apparent then you will need to access the lens from behind in the trunk. I am sure there is a concealment panel that you will have to remove but that should just be freely sitting in place. Take that out and you can change the bulb.

2007 nissan altima won't go in reverse or drive

Hi,
It starts and runs OK, correct?

Check your fluid level - Directions in the Owner's Manual.

Are you pushing the brake pedal b4 trying to move the lever (sorry, have to ask)?

Does the lever move @ all? Into Neutral?

Is the Check Engine Light on?

Sounds like you'll need to have it towed to a shop. Call the Better Business Bureau for a reference, or recommendations from family/friends.

How to locate and replace brake light switch in a 2006 nissan altima

Your brake light switch is just above brake pedal, under dash. It's small plastic switch w/a couple of wires coming from it. Pretty easy fix.

I have nissan altima 2007 the air bags light is flashing i need turn off how ican do

If the air bag light is flashing- that means there is problem with your SRS air bag system. It stored a code in the computer and wont turn off untill the problem is fixed or cleared manualy with a scan tool- note if you choose to clear the code and turn off the light with a scan tool- if the problem with the system is still there the computer in your car will notice it and store another code and the light will come right back on. also Note that if the air bag light or SRS light is on while driving that system is shut down and your air bags WILL NOT go off if you get into an accident. (the same rules apply if your ABS- anti lock brake light is on- the ABS system will not work) the most common problem with the Altimas and air bag codes are the clock spring assembly located behind your steering wheel- (not the air bag itself on the steering wheel) but there is a round thing that turns with a wire connected to it. you have to remove the steering wheel to service. Best bet - go somewhere that has a scan tool and read what code the computer stored. It will tell you what part of the system has the problem.

Condensation in light housing

Lance,

You won't be able to get the condensation out of the lamps. The light assemblies are sealed and only have a small hole where ther bulbs go in as well as a small vent. The condensation is normal and will come and go. Even if you put a new light assmebly on the car you could still get the condensation. Go to the dealer for the brake pedal pad.

Problem wtih starting car

I had the same issue. It turned out that the break pedal switch was broken. The engine start push button is connected to a second break pedal switch that senses when you push it. That switch is independent from your main break pedal switch that turns on the brake lights of the car.
