If any electric welding was used on the car during the exhaust pipe work and the ground clamp wasn't in the proper location, there is a possability that your gearbox might have been damaged (fried).

Are you saying you have smoke coming out of the tail pipe ? Or is something dripping onto the exhaust pipe and burning ?
If the smoke is coming out of the tail pipe, is it blue, white, or black ?

White smoke blowing out of exhaust pipe. We worked on the intake manifold gasket last week and now I have an excessive amount of white smoke from the exhaust pipe. Please help.


what did you do to the intake? but an easy way to fix da smoke is to go and buy a can of STOP SMOKE it comes in an aerosol can and you just spray it into your engine
