High beems turn on when the van is off. why? 2003 express van

They turn on when a truck or loud car passes by.

I think this may have to do with the wiring. Check if the wiring is exposed, or the terminals. The vibration caused by the noise or the air between you and the truck may cause the wire to hit the body completing the circuit.

The headlight on the pass. side works right. the drivers side when in low beem, the light is in high beem. when the light is on high beem the light is on low beem. this is a 2000 mercury sable

someone has switched the wiring harness sockets to the wrong bulbs or installed the bulbs in reverse. get in behind the headlight assembly on the driver side and reverse the wires, if that does not work then pull the bulbs and swap them inside to outside and vice versa.

Lights are too high. The low beams seem to blind oncoming traffic, and the high beams shine too high also.

if you have put bigger tires on the vehicle or lifted it you need to adjust the headlights they sell the tool at any auto parts stores its a small rachet tool you turn to lower the head lights

My '03 Express Van has issues starting up, and sometimes when the engine is on, it shakes and turns off......????

My van did this at 210,000 miles. It needed a basic tune up. New spark plug , cap and rotor. works fine now.

You need a new high/low beam switch that you having to hold to get brights to work.

turn key on, depress gas pedal 3 times. this should do it, you may need to do it more than once so it will reset.

Wipers will not turn off

I've got the same problem on a 2003 Chev Express van. It is an intermittent problem so I can't really test it. I believe it is a faulty pulse module. The dealer wants $138 for it but I found it in an auto parts store for $33.

L head light low beem not working

You probably have the low side of your bulb blown check the bulb if that dont fix it ck your conector.if your dimmer switch was bad it wouldnt work on eather side. I will try to get you a diagram for the fuse box. PHIL.
