the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

Odbii communication problem

You need to elaborate a little more Im just going to guess that the scanner has no communication with the vehicle thus can not read the codes. Check for a blown fuse in the fuse panel I have run into this many times before and usally replacing the fuse fixes the problem unless the fuse blows right away the you have a short in that circuit that needs to be fixed first.

My 2002 honda civic has a steady clicking noise that goes faster on acceleration. The noise is audible though just when idling as well. Any ideas?

Needs more oil or you spun a bearing. Also could knocking lifter. Try some engine restore if your oil is at the proper level. If that doesnt work it will be spun bearing or bad rocker. Have it checked out by local mechanic to be for certain.

Car lurches and bucks, rpms erratic on acceleration on hills

You could have any of these problems:
1) vacuum leak- broken air hose or disconnected air hose.
2) water in the gasoline- add a water remover to you gas tank.
3) bad or disconnected spark plug wire(s).
If this were my Forester, I'd take it to a mechanic who has a electronic engine tester..
