Nope, gotta break the lock, and replace it. It can be done, or take it to a dealership or locksmith. Try spraying WD40 into the lock and wiggling it in and out while turning it, my just be froze up a little.

MY Malibu trunk release make a noise but wont open the trunk. It has no key entry.

it sounds like the lock motor is working but the latch mechanism is seized and needs repair.it could be the arm that attaches the motor to the latch could have come unhooked and not releasing the latch.i`m not too familiar with these but i can`t see a manufacture building a car and not having an outside access to the trunk like a key lock as it becomes a safety issue.if you mean the key lock is missing you can insert a screw driver into the hole and engage it into the latch mechanism and turn this should open the trunk.if not then you will have to remove the rear seat and hope there is enough room to crawl into the trunk to manually open it.

Trunk will not open with the door OR remote buttons. I can it hear it "clicking" but it is not releasing the trunk lid. I do not have a key for the trunk. What could the problem be?

sounds like it could be the latch mechanism is seized(rare but does happen) and you could try forcing the trunk lid open while using the remote button at the same time and it may pop open, other wise the release motor is not working properly(motor making noise but not moving),you should get a trunk key made just for this type of reason(any thing electrical or electronic will fail).otherwise you will have to access to the trunk some how to repair the problem.

My 91 has a button located to the left of the gear shift (center console). It's an electric control that, when pushed, opens the trunk.

The latch for the door on my '92 Corsica is stuck upright preventing me from closing the door. What can I do to get it open.

You should be able to pull the handle and while holding the handle use a screwdriver to pop the latch back to a "open" position. If the latch does not release then it might be broken and stuck in that position. Just use the screw driver and insert it into the latch opening to simulate the latch hook. The try moving it back while holding the handle open. Hopefully this gets the latch back into position. You should also lubricate the latch with a small amount of white grease to keep the latch from sticking.

The latch on my trunk wont lock or close the trunk jwf182000@yahoo.com

you have somehow tripped the latch into the closed position while the lid was up. use your key to reopen the latch then close lid normally.

I locked my keys in my truck. How can I get into my trunk..or get another key to get in. It's a 1995 Chevy Corsica

A locksmith has entry tools, one being a "slim jim" which will access lock rods in the inner door .This very thin metal strip that slips past the outside window felt and can hook or grasp the inner door lock rods or latch assembly. An experienced person can do this in seconds. If you never tried this, you can poke around for litteral hours and not achieve opening.Entering the vehicle interior gives you access to the remote lever for trunk. The only other measure would be to have new key made at dealer by providing VIN# and ownership proof to where they can do a VIN search on their terminal and come up with factory key codes in order to cut a new key on site...good luck

Locked keys in my 92 corsica is there a way to get the trunk open?

Keys in trunk or in passenger compartment? Does it have electric locks?

My key wont unlock the trunk anymore but the remote opener does.

There is a cable that runs from the key cylinder to the latch mechanism. There are clips that hold the cable housing in place, and if one of those comes loose then turning the key just moves the housing without releasing the latch. Check the clip closest to the latch. To get the trunk open drop the back seat, crawl in, and pull on the cable.

It is also possible that the cable is broken or damaged and needs to be replaced -- I assume you will then need to replace the enrite assembly.

Trunk opener

Remote release was an option on that year. You may not have that button. Best bet is a lock smith. He can make a key. You will need it anyway.

Poor man's solution: Try every GM key your friends have, you might find a match.
