Question about 2000 Buick LeSabre

Need to remove and replace the driver side door panel

I just purchased a 2000 Buick LaSaber the other day. Today, the driver window won't roll back up. I have had no problem with it until now. I was wondering on how to remove the driver side door panel, and put it back on afterwards, to see what the problem might be. The motor sounds like it's trying to roll it up and down, but it doesn't move. Thanks

Could be a bad switch, bad window motor, or clutch in window motor, ccould also be that the window itself jumped track.

  • Hello, and thank you for the opportunity to assist you. Here is the serpentine diagram for a 2000 LaSaber. The only engine size for that year was a 3.8 which I have always thought of as an all around great engine.

Power window will not roll up on passenger side of 2000 lincoln ls

Remove & test all door window switches that
operate that window

If they are good, then remove the inner door panel
& check for a broken regulator cable & if necessary
unplug & put 12V directly to the motor to test it

If you replace or lube anything, you will need to do a
Door Window Motor Initialization

You push window button to second detent & hold until
glass stalls into top run, then hold 2 more seconds

If you do not ,you won't have the one touch feature

Drivers side door handle repair- I pulled it apart from door when door was frozen shut?

You will have to purchase a new handle assembly and replace the unit. Door interior must be removed to access the hardware for removal. Don't buy a cheap replacement it will only break sooner that the factory one. Basic tools and care when removing the door panel and connectors is needed. roll up window first. Good luck

Power windows

This usually works; Remove the door panel to get access to the switch. Unplug the connectors and clean both pin & sleeve. Reconnect and give it a try.

Driver door handle of 2000 handle broken in half

FIRST YOU NEED TO REMOVE THE INSIDE PANEL. AFTER DOING THAT, WITH THE WINDOW ROLLED UP REMOVE 2 PLUGS ON THE METAL TO ACCESS THE TWO NUTS THAT HOLD ON THE OUTSIDE HANDLE. WHEN REMOVED, YOU CAN UNHOOK THE RODS THAT ACTUATE THE DOOR RELEASE. THE INSTALLATION IS THE REVERSE. I HOPE THIS HELPS. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO KEEP ME POSTED. THANKS FOR USING FIX-YA. 2000 Buick Lesabre: Driver Door 1. Do I have to disarm the air bags to replace glass? 2. How do I pry off the inside driver side door panel components? 3. HOw do I replace the inside driver side...

Hello, NO you don't have to disarm airbags for glass.
You can pry off the door panel with big flathead screw driver. The panel is held on by plastic tabs that pry off and you can press them back on with fingers.
Before prying off panel, you should pry off electric window button panel. Also remove any screws that are visible. Sometimes the arm rest has little plastic covers with screws underneath it.
This is actually easier than it sounds.
Just remove any visible screws, and pry it off and lift up and she'll come off.

All of a sudden the driver side window will not roll up.

is it electric windows? if it has electric windows does the passenger window roll up using the switch for it on the passenger door panel? if it works on the passenger door panel and not on the driver's door panel , then your switch on the drivers door panel is bad... replace it.
