Had my check engine light cleared to get it smoged. was told by smog company that the panels take 100 miles to reset. seems that the fix was not really a fix after all. they must have cleared the code and it took your computer the 100 miles to identify the same problem your mechanic was supposed to fix, but didn't. good luck fighting the same thing.

Why are you going back to a shop that can not
diagnose an O2 Sensor issue?
The only help you can get, is from someone properly
diagnosing the problem
Can't tell you anything, as I do not know what the codes
were, or were they the same every time
What was tested & how, that is the key.
Is that a V6 & what was short & long term fuel
trim on each bank?
Was the old & new sensor checked with an
oscilloscope? Why was it replaced?
Was the intake & exhaust smoke tested for
vacuum leaks?
Many questions & things to know & check,
obviously that shop can't solve the most common
& somewhat easy problems.

"Evaporative System Not Ready"

if there are no fault codes for the problem and there is no known problem then it is possible that the smog machine is not connecting properly to the data plug

check for a bad connection like a bad ground at the battery, make sure both terminals are tight at the battery, the starter and the ground at the engine. the shop that installed the EGR should have erased the codes, after 50 to 100 miles you would be able to go through emissions.

How to fix electronic throttle control on 2004 dodge ram 1500

You need the engine control system scanned to see what fault code is in memory for this problem once you have the fault code you do diagnostics to determine which part or parts are failing. I warn you don't guess all the parts (with few exceptions) in the electronic throttle control are very expensive.

Hello, have you tried to unhook the negative side of the battery for about 10 minutes and then go from there . It should reset the computer completely .

yes i would change the plug wires , you can take a spray bottal with water and spray that wire, and if it starts to run real bad then it is shorting out, you may also have a injector going bad you can test this buy puting a ohms meter on it and ck the ohms it should read the same or close to the same as the other if not it will need replaced

I have a 2000 buick lesabre. The fix engine soon

It NEVER was the camshaft sensor! Unless, you've removed the engine lately, which I doubt.
RUN to Advance Auto Parts and buy a can of "SeaFoam" and add to your gas tank per instructions...drive at least 100 miles and the problem should go away...IF it doesn't you'll have to replace the O2 sensors in the exhaust system...Any good mechanic should be able to do this for much less $$ than the dealership DO NOT go to the dealer for repairs!
Good Luck

I would have the front brakes checked and from what you are telling me you may have a warped rotor I do not know how many miles are on the car some cars have a reset after the oil change has been done to turn off the check engine light but if it keeps coming on take it to autozone and they will put it on a tester for free and then you will know what needs to be done
