Question about 1998 Isuzu Trooper
I greased all the front end joints that i could reach and it still squeaks. Someone told me izuzus have special suspension and they are lifetime copacted greased in some sort of casing and that i would have to remove that and add more grease to get rid of the noise. HELP! Is this true? Do i really have to go through all that trouble?
Anti roll bar rubbers are worn or the bumper is rubbing on the plastic trim in front of the radiator.

My hubby did suspension work on our Dodge Durango and annoying squeaky noise came after job was done....turned out coil springs were not seated correctly...there are two drain holes in the spring seat in the lower control arm.... only after the coil was repositioned for the lower end to cover the first hole and cover about half of the second hole, was the noise gone....we're so happy now....

Ok, Trooper suspension is very simple. It's got coil springs, standard shocks, and rubber bush mountings. Either, there is grit somewhere in shock casing, trapped in a rubber mounting, or at the top or bottom of a leg, or, more likely, you have got something incidental rubbing somewhere. Firstly you need to get your shocks checked. Either take them out and operate them by hand, or get them checked professionally. If they squeak your solution is easy. If not, try and work out when the squeak happens. If you drive down ruts and potholes one side, does it do it more than the other? Then start looking for things that move and rub when drive train moves in relation to engine. If you can specify where it is, I can try to point you in the right direction.
