Put a meter on the battery and see what voltage is should be 12v or better...If not, charge and load test before doing anything else. Also, clean up the positive cable.

No power to fuel pump

You added fuel and still no start. If you have indeed proved a no spark condition, it could be the ignition box inside the distributor is dead, a common problem with late '80s ford ignitions.

Car wont start or take boost

Sounds like your battery has a dead cell. The cranking amps required to start a vehicle is considerably more than to power accessories. The alarm may have a safety feature that will make it go off if the battery voltage is too low (or if someone disconnects your battery). Have your battery tested (with and without a load) and repost if this isn't the problem.

Lights, horn work but car wont start

Troubleshoot the starter. If your battery is good, then you WILL have power...the lights will work, horn, etc, but....if the starter is toast...you need a starter.

It definitely sounds like the electrical part of your ignition isn't working properly. When you turn the key, the lck and tumbler turns on the ign. switch in which sends power to the rest of the car.
