In my 1980 Pontiac Lehmans there's a hesitation between gears and a minor transmission leak can I have some ideas also there is ticking under the valve cover

The first symptom on your Lemans can be a vacumn leak...check ALL rubber hoses, and the EGR valve hose for cracks, and replace as needed...a vacumn leak or imbalance can also alter the tranny shift points:(... Unfortunately the ticking under the valve cover sounds like a sticky lifter...You can try to lubricate this by changing oil...but use one quart of GM tranny fluid in place of one quart of oil...run motor for ONE day only, and then change oil again with the correct viscosity...10W30 I like Valvoline High Mileage:) Hope these inexpensive fixes work for your classic Lemans!!

Transmission shifts hard into second gear(auto trans). However, when shutting engine off and restarting, the hard shift will go away. It will come back in a few days. Doesn't seem to matter how many...

it may be a bad tps ( throttle position sensor ). it causes transmission shift issues, bucking, jerking, idle surging, engine cut off, surge while crusing down highway. if this does not solve problem, it may be a sticking valve body in transmission. have a good day !! for an automatic tranny.

93 Jeep Grand Cherokee only revs when put in gear.

Three ways to check:
first: check if the shift cable is in position, cick down cable too..
-next: check if the torque converter is connected to the engine.
- remove the oil pan from the auto trans and check if the oil filter is in place. If you look to the right front side of the tranny, you see a lid with a coil spring in it. check if the spring is ok.
- if tranny is open, check for metal pieces or clutch material in the oil pan and the filter unit. If you find more than usual, replace the transmission.

1994 silverado 4L60E transmission not wanting to shift corrrect

If you have not worked on a 4L50E transmission before, leave it to someone who is familiar with the the 4L60E. The solenoid is in the valve body and i know some who have put things back together and needed to take it apart again over something simple as a servo pin in revers. Best thing to do is get the truck scanned at Auto Zone free of charge or at a transmission shop with a tech 2 scanner for DTC codes. If there is a bad throttle body sensor or it's misaligned, it would affect your transmission's performance. The throttle body sensor send's signals to the ECM which calculates the amount of transmission fluid pressure though out the shift points, if that signal is bad then your shift points and firmness will be affected. There is also a cheap and great performance upgrade for around $50.00. You have a Transmission shop swap out the servo's for a Corvette servo's, it can be done in 30 min with out taking the transmission down or removing the transmission oil pan off.
Recap, have the transmission fluid and oil changed and have the throttle body sensor tested. It should show a smooth gradual increase in resistance with out any fluctuation. You truck is 15 years old and it may have a dead spot on the sensor now and it may need to be replaced. Good luck and keep me posted, Be glad to help and you can also have the transmission shop do a transmission pressure line test.

1990 6 cyl F150 transmission fluid change.

If it's manuel you just need the oil, there is a fill hole and a drain hole on the side of the transmission. If it's an automatic, there is an transmission filter that need to be changed if it's been there long enough.
The cheaper way to change the transmission fluid is to have a transmission shop flush it out with a transmission flush system that connects to the high pressure side transmission line and it replaces the old oil with new one and check the transmission line pressure too. This re places 15 liters of fluid. The more expensive is if you just drop the transmission pan and change the oil and filter you only replace about 3 liters in total and if you don't mind the mess you can do it your self for around $50.00 for the filter, gasket and Transmission oil.
Good luck and keep me posted.
Keep me posted and good luck, be glad to help.
