You have a power drain with key off. Need to see if you have a glove box light on, a hood lamp, trunk lamp on etc.

I am having a problem removing the distributor on my 1988 mercury tracer. I have removed the adjustment bolt but it won't break free. any ideas?

No, don't beat it up. Does it turn with the adjustment bolt out? Make sure no other retainer bolts holding it. If you can turn it back and forth as it should with adjuster bolt loose or off, just keep pulling while twisting- the O-ring seal on the distributor may be sticky with age.

I have an 1988 bonco 2 with a 2.9 l V6 my problem is i keep burning up the 50 amp alternator fuse . i took the alternator had it test its working perfect but every time i put a new fuse in about...

Check your wiring going down to the starter and see if it is grounding out against the exhaust. If not check all your wiring to and from alt. Something is grounding out. 50 amp fuse is a big fuse so something is going to ground.

Battery keep going dead, has new battery

Have you checked to see if the alternator is charging ? Run a volt meter on the battery with the engine running, have to have more than 14 volts. If 13 or less, then replace the alt.
