Flying Belt's Galore!

Okay, so my bf and I got a used 96 Seabring JX in March (horrible time for a convertable, but the tranny dropped on the truck in the middle of down town pontiac). Since then we have gotten a lot of things fixed, but we are going through serpintine belts like nothing else! 3rd belt in the last 4 months is going on today! What the hell is wrong with this car???

This code is set when the transmission control module detects improper voltage at the torque converter clutch. This can be caused by low tranny fluid/dirty tranny fluid/defective torque converter clutch solenoid/electrical connections to from solenoid

Another problem. Cupping would be from alignment. Dry rot is dry rot. All tires will do it.

I have a 92 Saturn SL-1 and it runs fairly smoothly except the auto. transmission shifts hard at times. However, the gas mileage has dropped to probably 15 mi per gallon. I have replaced the fuel filter,...

Try changing fluid and filter. If this does not correct it, then test the vacuum pressure in the vacuum controlled actuator and the circuit on the tranny. If it turns out ok, then tranny servo or other internal part may be faulty

Will a 95 dodge ram tranny interchange with a 2000

No it will not. I have a 95 and am on tranny number 5. I had always put in used ones because I didn't know how long I was going to keep the truck. Now I have so much in it I have to keep it.
Anyway, back to your problem. 94 & 95 are all by themselves. Dodge had alot of problems with trannies in those 2 years and in 96 they attempted to remidy that problem, but didn't quite get the job done. The trannies will look alike until you take a closer look. In 96 they changed the wireing that goes to the computer so these transmissions could not be interchanged. One thing I would reccommend if you do find a used tranny to put in. Buy a brand spanking new torque converter.
BTW I did find one site for used parts that has come in handy several times. Car-Part.com Give it a try and good luck with your project.
I hope this helps you out, if so let us know and don't forget to rate me.
Thanks!

Torque converter removal

No, there is no other way. The tranny has to be dropped. Once it's dropped, just pull the converter from the bell housing.
