Question about 1999 Saturn SL
I have a 2001 Saturn L200. Recently I've noticed a sound that seems to be coming from the trunk when I make a hard right turn and occasionally when I go over a bump. It sounds like there is something in my trunk sliding and hitting the side of the trunk. The trunk is empty, however, and I have checked the spare and the jack and both are tightly secured. Any ideas what this could be?
These cars have struts inside the springs. When the struts fail they start to make a noise that sounds like your problem. Also the strut mounts will make a terrible racket. Have these checked and replaced if needed. Hope this helps. Good luck.
