Their is a problem with the question.First no engine size .
Second what are you looking for the timeing mark is on the harmoric balancer .You will need a timing light to see it after you maked it with white chaulk .However the engine needs to be running .
3RD are you talking about the timeing marks to align the timeing belt or chain.

I am confused by timing degrees. what i need to know does the timing light need to be at 0 to show tdc or are there different degree for different cars?

on your vehicle you just need to know that you align the timing marks together... this is typically at 0 degrees... that may be confusing you is the idea of "ignition" timing which on this vehicle is not adjustable....

AGAIN... just align you timing marks and you are cool

For your 2000 Toyota Tundra: I do not know if you have the 3.4L DOHC V6 or the 4.7L DOHC V8.

Click on the following free, direct Link. It has all the Timing Belt Diagrams you will need, complete with Instructional and Directional Diagrams to set your Timing.

Suzuki sidekick timing

honestly you just need to buy a chilton or haines. there is a lot more to this than just a couple of instructions. you need a timing gun, tools, and to know where everything is. its easy but you need to see the instructions.

Need help setting the timing

The main timing mark on the pulley usually runs all the way across it. Connect timing light to #1 plug wire...You don"t need to know when on compression stroke! If you need to know for another reason, remove the valve cover and watch rockers on #1 cylinder. Compression stroke happens right after #1 intake valve closes. (both rockers "at rest" at top of stroke.)

Hi there, I have a 1990 Volkswagen Jetta Flair 2. I've had the car for about a year now and overall it's been an excellent car for it's age. However, there's always something that needs to be fixed and lately I've had throttle response problems. I do not have any mechanical backround, so I will describe it as best as I can. For one, it seems apparent this is an issue when the engine is cold (or not sitting in the sun all day). I will put the foot down, and it won't respond until it gets to about 3000rpm (right around when I'm thinking about changing gears), and then it rocket ships forward. Before it finally responds, there's a lot of shaking going on in the engine bay. It doesn't sound pleasant either. I took it in for an oil change, and they put fuel injector in it and it seemed to be a temporary solution. Whatever the case, there's a poor connection between me putting the throttle down and the car responding to the action. I do rev it up before I get going, but it's kind of futile. So as a result, I have a tendency to stall in first gear at low speeds as the gas doesn't react when I want it to, and the clutch is usually released by that point. After about 5-10 minutes of constant driving, it will accelerate smoothly. If you can point me in the right direction, whether it's "fuel" related, or it's some sort of heat sensor (I have no idea what I'm talking about), let me know if you've had similar experiences. All my repairs have cost me less than a 100 each time, I want to keep it that way.
