It is about 3 inches long and standing straight up with a electrical connector plugged into the top of it. It is on the top right rear corner of the engine. You will need to lean over the top of the engine to see it. It's not on the head it is behind the intake manifold. Good luck and hope this helps. It is round and about the size of a quarter.

It is in back between the intake manifold and fire wall. It is kind of tough to get at.

My 2005 GMC Sierra 1500 oil guage goes to max when the ignition is turned to on and only returns to 0 when key turned to off

Sounds like the oil sending switch is shorted out to ground, also could be broken or worn out.Its only a 5-10$ part.Unless you can test it.

I have a 1997 honda accord LX 4 door 5 speed. I have an oil leak coming from somewhere where the filter is. Has anyone came across this problem?

im sure its just an oil filter leaking, just reach down and see if its loose buy trying to tighten it. if it tightens keep an eye on it too see if that fixes it. sometimes you just cant retighten it you have to change it, so that means oil change time. now if its not the filter. you may have to check the oil sending unit. different cars have them in different places, some buy the oil filter some on the top of motor some in the bottoms. if an iol sending unit is going bad you will have a trail of oil. and the car will sometime smoke really bad.. i hope this helps

Need to replace oil pressure sensor/or sending unit(getting low oil pressure idiot light when idleing in drive) 1997 dodge neon dhc 2.0L. I have a new one but cant seem to find where it is located on the...

In my experience with neon's the sending unit is most likely not the problem. I feel that you will find that the oil pressure is actually low and that the oil pump is going out. If you change the sending unit and it doesn't change then you will know for sure. The sending unit is located on the side of the block near the oil filter. It has one wire and simply unscrews and the new one screws back in and re-attach the wire. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Oil pressure light remained on after an oil change.

This can be a malfunction ot this can be serious, First check vehicle and make sure there is oil in this vehicle. If there is oil make sure its at the right level NOT low or NOT high but just where it should be on dipstick. If there is low or NO oil on dipstick make sure you have a receipt from that oil change place just in case there is damage to your engine. just because this is a practically new vehicle I would recommend that you take it back to Saturn and get this look at, or the other option if the level is good is to take off the battery positive lead for at least 10 minutes. (IF YOU HAVE A CODED RADIO IN THIS VEHICLE MAKE SURE YOU KNOW THE CODE BEFORE DOING THIS PLEASE) and that should reset the oil pressure light. Good luck and thanks for using FIX YA

Low oil pressure

I believe your sending unit is located on the top of the block, towards the fire wall. You can get an inexpensive pressure test gauge and put in place of your sending unit. It should be a 1/4" NPT fitting. Does the pressure gauge fluctuate between low and high RPM? If so, chances are that your oil pump may need to be replaced.
