Question about 2003 Cadillac CTS
It was raining turned on wipers and now they won't turn off what could it be.
The circuit board needs to be replaced or fixed. There was a RECALL about a year ago for this problem and your car may still be covered, so get the the dealer and they should repair it free of charge as as it's with in the grace period of the recall. If it's not covered you can get a new one at Auto Zone and give you the step by step instructions to doing the job your self. 90 percent of the time it's the circuit board needs to be re soldered where the wire harness connect's to the circuit board. If you have a solder gun and solder which then you'l know how to solder, you can fix this in 30 min. Good luck and keep me posted. be glad to help.

SOURCE: 99 Yukon windshield wipers
We had the same problem and sometimes they wouldn't turn off. The intermittent wipers were random. We replaced the wiper motor. Be sure to get the motor with two balls on the wiper shaft (one for each wiper arm). If you can't find it, you'll have to change the part out on the new motor. Keep the wiper arms in the same location on removal, or it will jam and you'll have to start over.

The windsheild wiper relay might be stuck or broken. Try tapping it with something or replace it. Could also be the the switch (lever that you control the wipers with) i hope this helps and good luck with diagnosing your problem.

Either the replacement sensor the windscreen technician should have fitted isnt connected properly to the glass or it has developed an intermittant fault - quite common with Renaults especially megane scenics and grand scenics....
