My best Guess is This Info Would be Hard if not Impossible to Get. I Would Just Take a GOOD LOOK at it and Search for A Screw or CLIP TYPE FASTENER os Push Pin that Holds it On from the Inside.
If It Was Here In My Face I am Positive I Could Remove it as I am Familiar with Most All Lock Fastening Methods. Sorry This Is NOT Exactly What You Are Looking for But Hopefully You CAN just Look and Find the Method of Fastening for this Lock.

SOURCE: glove box latch broken

The latch is sold seperately. Call your local dealer with the last 9 of you vin number to get the right color. Most dealers sell at the same MSRP price as all the others in town. I know cause I sell these all the time at my Chrysler dealership.

The latch of the glove compartment broke. Can't open the compartment

If you look under glove box you will see two to four screws that hold the glove box on. Take out the screws and the glove box will drop down and you can get inside and release latch..then you can get a replacement latch and replace.

How to open a glove box door when the latch is broken on

check under the glove box door to see if you can see the hinges. Sometimes you can unscrew the hinges from the bottom. Else you have to knock out the hinge pin on both hinges, open the door from the bottom and see if you can swing the door up to undo the latch.
If this does not work, cut a hole in the bottom ot the glove box, it is usually made of plastic or papier mache, release the latch from inside, then you can remove the plastic box once it is open and replace it with a new one. It will cost you, but it will be less expensive that breaking down the metal door!

How do you replace the latch on a glove box in a 2001 dodge caravan

What you need to do is lower the glove box, push in on the sides of
glove box, flexable area the holds the lid from falling open to the floor.
let it swing down, and unhinge the lid from dash area, then remove the screws that hold the lid together and seperate from latch area, then remove the latch and replace, reverse the procedure
to ressemble.
GOOD LUCK, RDJRP.

How to replace glove box latch The glove box latch is broken off and I can't get it open. I can get a new latch but don't know how to install it----am afraid I will break something. Help!

Remove the glove box: unscrew 3 screws inside the box (in a row towards the top) and 2 on the outside (one on the bottom right side- open the car door to access it, and one on the bottom left side). Grab the bottom of the box and pull it toward you. It will come off.

Once it's off, flip it over. There are 2 screws that hold the latch housing on the box (you'll find them in the 2 circles that are cut into the plastic). Unscrew them.

Next, flip it back over to the front and stick a small flat screwdriver between the latch housing and the glove box part that it's stuck into. Gently pull the latch and the whole thing should come out.

Pop the new one in, replace the screws, put your glove box back in your car, and you're good to go!

Glove box latch broke close. How to open?

Hi, how are you? From what you are describing the latch on the inside sounds like it has broken and is not releasing. You can try to lay on the floor and look up in the bottom of the back of the glove box there are two tabs one on each side. If you push these tabs inward the bottom of the box should come free and help the top to come free. If you cannot see the tabs or can’t get the tabs pushed in, you are going to have to force it open, you can do this with a flat pry bar, wrap the end with a cloth to protect the paint. The good news is that the glove box latch is pretty cheap to replace.
