2008 Ford Escape can't remove rear signal light housing

According to Manual, remove two screws and pull housing assembly out. Did just that but can'y remove it, concern may break something if I force it out. Feels like there's a clip holding housing back.

There is a clip holding the back, it is a push in clip, the screws hold the light assembly in position, so does the clip, so when you remove the screws you will still have to pull the light out of the clip, you should be able to pull it out with out damaging the clip and reinstall it with out damage as well. hope this helps, let me know

How do you replace a turn signal bulb at the rear of a 2009 ford escape?

On most Ford Trucks and SUV's there will be two philips head screws on the exterior of the light. Undo these two screws and the whole lens will pull outwards. Unplug the bulb and unscrew the retainer - reverse instructions with new bulb in place.
On a newer Ford, there may be an access panel inside the cargo area. If there is, you will gain access to the bulb and retainer from there.

Is there a trick to getting to the rear turn signal on a 2003 ford focus hatchback. I had removed the screw to the lens cover but I still cannot gain access to the turn signal bulb to replace it.

Replacing tail/brake/backup lights and turn signal bulbs (coupe)

1. Make sure the headlamp control

is in the OFF position and then

open the hatchback.

2. From inside the luggage

compartment remove the wing nut

of the rear light assembly cover.

3. Using a Phillips screw driver

remove the screw. The lamp is still

retained by a spring loaded clip.

Remove by gently pulling out the

light housing.

4. Turn the bulb socket counterclockwise as far as possible and pull it

out.

5. Pull the bulb straight out of the socket.

Install in reverse order.

3. Gently pull the light housing to

the outside.

4. Turn the bulb socket

Remove and replace right rear turn signal bulb 94 suburban

OPEN REAR DOORS, REAR LIGHTS HAVE 2 TORX HEAD SCREWS IN VEHICLE DOOR HINGE AREA. REMOVE SCREWS, WIGGLE & PULL OUT ON LIGHT ASSEMBLY. THERE IS A 4 WIRES PLUGGED INTO THE LIGHT BOARD. UNPLUG & REMOVE 2 HEX HEAD SCREWS TO REMOVE BOARD & LIGHTS ASSEMBLY. IF A NEW BULB DOESN'T FIX THE PROBLEM, NEW BOARDS ARE AVAILABLE AT THE PARTS STORE.

How do I replace the turn signal bulb on my 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee? It seems like I must remove alot of the front end to get at the bulb... is this true?

For the front turn signal:

There are two ways to get at the bulb.

Way 1) YOU NEED A SKINNY SHAFTED STAR SCREWDRIVER. This is how the manual describes it: Unscrew the 2 star screws holding the parking light housing on. One is on top, the other is between the parking light and the turn signal. This second screw can be very difficult to get to because the parking light and turn signal housing are very close. After the parking light housing is off, you can unscrew the turn signal housing. The screws should be located on top of the housing, underneath the parking light housing.

Way 2) This is the way I did mine: First, you have to take the headlight housing off. It should be pretty easy to pop off if you pry it the right way. It is held on by 1 square clip and 2 ball and socket clips. There is a small risk of breaking the ball and socket clips, as getting the headlamp housing off does require a little force, so be careful. You may want to take the headlight bulb out first, but isn't necessary. (Removing the right side bulb may require removing the battery) Once the headlamp housing is off, the turn signal bulbs should be very easy to get to.

To remove the bulb, simply turn the bulb socket and it will come out.

For the rear turn signal:

Open the lift gate.

There are 3 hex screws that hold each rear light assembly on. I'd recommend a hex screwdriver, as a socket wrench or box wrench would be very hard to use on the screws. Once the hex screws are off, just tug on the light assembly and it will come off. The bulbs are very easy to get to. The turn signal is the yellow one.

How do I change the rear signal lights, instruction manual is missing and I can't figure out how to get at it

open the trunk and you will see two screws securing the tail light housing. Remove the screws and pull the assembly out. Then you will see the socket going into the back of the housing. Twist the socket counter clockwise to pull it out along with the bulb. Then pull the bulb straight out of the socket

Both front blinkers don't work, but rear ones work fine. Fuse is good for turn lamps.

It is posible both bulbs are blown, I have overlooked this before, if not you will have to change the turn-signal switch (in the stering colume.

On an 05 escape there appear to be only 2 screws holding the brake light cover. I've taken them off but the cover seems really secure along the outer edge and the body panel. I'm if I give it a good yank...

Change rear signal bulb on 2002 ford focus wagon

Open the rear tailgate There are 2 screws that hold light housing in place.. Remove the screws then pull the housing outwards till the clip behind it springs. You then need to knock the housing sideways (outwards) to free the 2 prongs that attach housing to the car body.
Unclip the rear housing from the back of the light unit & change the bulb.
