Very strange question for a test. Every region is different, and tune-ups went the way of rotary phones back in the early 1990s. Today's cars only have filters and spark plugs that would be considered part of a tune-up and the plugs can last up to 100,000 miles now. You probably should call a local garage to get a realistic price - 4 spark plugs and an air filter plus labor at $50 per hour would probably total $100 with tax.
It probably does need a tune up, but DO NOT take it to a dealer. They overcharge you for things that you could get at a lower price from a private auto mechanic. I don't know why it would cut off at every stop. As for the distributor cap, spark plug wires, and spark plugs... bring the car to Advance Auto Parts or Autozone, buy those things, and get them to show you how to put them on. It's really not that hard to do and you'll save a lot of money that way.
A tune up consists of the followig:
-Spark plug replacement
-Air filter cleaning/replacement
-Fuel Filter replacement
-Engine timing correction.
So yes, you must do a tune up every once in a while and a must before an emissions evaluation.

if the number 1 cylinder miss fire then more likely that wire is bad.
just do the tune up first, then check on the MAF sensor later. the tune up may fix every thing
Your car has a coil on plug ignition system. So, you would replace the spark plugs, air filter, cabin air filter and PCV Valve. There are no spark plug wires, distributor cap or rotor and the fuel filter is in the tank, not requiring replacement for the life of the vehicle.
Is it acting like its out of gas. Also is it turning over but not starting. are u getting spark from ur spark plugs. When it was tuned up did the shopmess up the firing order of the distributor especially its a newer car. it could be teh fuel pump, filter etc. if its one of those its usually back by the tank. Also to see if ur getting spark u can pull a spark plug out plug it into one of the wires and set the spark plug on part of the engine and have someone turn it over u will see spark out of the end of it if u dont then thats ur problem. also it may be a relay. Overall u will want a manual so it can be pinpointed better also run some codes on it if u know how to.
