Question about 1995 GMC Safari

1 Answer

My 95 GMC Safari sounds like it will start, but then it doesn't. Can't afford to take it in right now, but I don't know jack about vehicles. I would like to try to prime the fuel injector to see if it starts, but I don't know how. Can anyone walk me thru this or any other possible solutions? Thanks a bunch!

Even if you think that your fuel pump is working properly it might not be check the fuel pressure and verify that it doesn't drop after a few seconds of turning the key you might have to replace it at a cost of about 100.00 for the original ac delco.

98 gmc safari. Starts sometimes and doesn't other times. Fuel pump tests fine, new fuel filter and crankshaft sensor. Can't afford to keep doing process of elimination.

Check battery cables at battery may be loose or corroded don't disconnect unless memory is maintained always remove neg first and don't reconnect until pos is connected and tight

The right front end; the wheel jumped and made a shnap sound and fell (the wheel well) and now sit on the tire like a low rider. its a 95 awd safari

You have broken the suspension on your Safari. Or it is the axle. If you look under there you will see what is wrong with it.

No start-95 safari

Could be fuel pump, is the pump running when you turn key on, you should be able to hear it. You are likely going to have to take it to someone with a pressure gauge to make sure it is getting proper fuel pressure. Fuel pumps commonly go on these vehicles

Sounds like the brake pads is still slightly making contact with the rotor. Replace pads and / or rotor.

Could be that the pads are wore out and are just scraping the rotor. Definately replace pads AND rotor.

Could be that the pads have broken their clips and are flopping around.

Could be a rock stuck in the overall brake assembly.
