2 areas of concern here involving the ABS light:

  1. After replacing the hubs, bleeding the brake lines and replacing spent brake fluid
  2. Replace the ABS sensors
Hope this answers your question. Best of luck.

Don't understand the negative feedback. You stated "replaced front hubs on my 2000 chevy blazer 4x4 abs light still on ?" Given the limited information you supplied, I'd like to know what in my answer you deemed to be inappropriate.

Mine did the same thing. It was the ABS pump module, auto repair shop wanted $1100, eff that! I found one on ebay, lifetime warranty, for $200 and $40 core return. takes less then 5 min. to change. 4 screws, and 2 wire connectors. easy

SOURCE: abs light

Turn on ignition switch and system should chk itself. If all is right the light should drop out..You may have to drive it for the sensors to register presence.

Hi...your problem might be coming from your front wheel bearing hubs. They are know to cause this problem as they wear out and eventually have to be replaced.

I just replaced the front hub on the drivers side and my abs light is still what could the problem be now

On these hubs, there is the ABS sensor that controls many things like ABS and Traction control on alot of cars. Check to make sure the sensor is plugged in properly and not cracked. Clean gear on spindle that abs sensor is real close to to get good signal

Hub assembly and wheel bearings problem

Plan on spending more than $75 on this repair I am quite shore that that wont evan cover the parts. It definitely has a wheel bearing in the case of this vehicle it can only be replaced as an assembly that includes the hub. The ABS wheel speed senser is often sold as part of the assembly or in some cases is sold separately. good chance it will need to be replaced. Get the job done as soon as possible this is a very unsafe condition Your wheel will fall off while driving eventually if not repaired

Abs light is on brakes are fine

it's the sensor in the hub bearing that is the problem. These blazers are well known for these to go. You have to replace the entire hub assembly in the front. About $180 each side! I've done it many times. My advise for you.., do NOT tow anything with these blazers or you will be replacing these hubs once a year!

Good Luck!
