Question about 2001 Chevrolet Blazer
The brake lights on my chevy blazer are not working. Checked the bulbs and fuse, also replaced the switch. Third light works. Turn signals, rear lights and parking lights work. I'm stuck can you give me any advice. It's not getting power when you hit the brakes I also checked that. PV2 Roth I have a 2001 2-WD Blazer with no brake lights. It started with my brake lights being stuck on, but by the time I got to a mechanic they were out and didn't work at all. The mechanic said it was tied into my remote starter, so I had the remote starter replaced. Still no brake lights & out $200. I have noticed a faint smoke coming from the steering column several times over the last few months. Also, my ABS light has been stuck on since I had my wheel bearings replaced last year. Turn signals work, and third brake light bar works.
Check your wires, the smoke could mean an electrical fire.
