Question about 1999 Acura TL
I have a 2005 acura tl. It was driving perfectly fine today. Than my wife went to the store and when she came back out to start it, the dash light flickers and won't start. I jump start it right up, and drove down for a mile than the dash light flicker again and the car died. I don't know what the problem might be. Can anybody help me?
Unfortunately this is a ongoing problem but easy to solve!
lets just fix it , carefully take off the cowling that surrounds the steering wheel column. drop the column down with the tilt lever. bottom piece should come off pretty easy. phillips screws +, lefts loosy, under the column . need to get to bottom left of column, facing is.
when you can see the opposite end of the solid tube shaped piece directly across where you stick the key in... there is a wire loom screwed to that side with 2 screws, take it off and clean ALL the brass top rounded pieces sticking up.WAIT! dont break it its expensive!! dealer only! so clean it with a toothpick and dont try to take it apart, just scrape it a little with the toothpick. just the toothpick , take your time and get off all the little hills and junk. so clean the inside of the steering column as well, not as sensitive a part but use care. a soft rag can be used but careful not to snag a spring or somthing, shouldn't have to bend it at all, so DON'T, just clean it again, maybe you missed a spot, replace carefully.
when screwing cowling back together fit all cowlings right into place before inserting screws, all fits together straight and easy so finesse it a little and when you put in the screw, go left a little till you feel it drop in , so as to go into the same threads ,don't make the screws very tight, just enough to hold , No more, its plastic

Sounds like bad connection at battery. Remove the battery connections, clean the battery posts with a wire brush, and reconnect battery. Make sure connections are tight.
