02 pontiac grand prix p0300 troubleshooting

Well yes and no. Code 300 is for a random miss rather than a specific cylinder. It could be a coincidence the miss has shown up now after the oil change. It could have been in the works for several weeks.
Other than looking at the plugs, you may have to wait until the problem gets bad enough to set a code for something else. It could be plugs, wires, coils, injectors, or a list of other things.

Pont Grand Prix; has 16 pin DRL module, fuse removes DRLs and Auto-ON (there is also a fuse for air bags, SRS)
believe most recent GM models (99+), use a VCR tape sized DRL module that will be under the dash, behind radio, glove box, over pedals, etc are typical locations for your car in various years.. There are two 8 pin connectors to it

I have a 01 grand prix with a 3.1 and its bogging!

Did you get all the air out of the coolant system?

Why would you change the plugs and wires?

Better yet, don't believe what your told, unless it comes from a professional, who just diagnosed your issues, correctly.

Please tell me why a fuel filter, would cause an overheating issue. Even after 45 years ,I 'am still willing to learn .

What was the original complaint?
