Could be several thing's . fuel system , ignition system . engine sensor etc... Instead of replacing a lot of parts that don't fix the problem ,take it to a qualified repair shop an have it diagnosed ! Because without testing no one on hear could say for sure it's this part or that part . There are videos on youtube for trouble shooting ignition systems , fuel systems , engine sensors etc... Sensors that could cause this problem , mass air flow , crankshaft position sensor - of which your vehicle has two .
Have u checked ur air filter. Check it. Turn ur car on and listen any hissing sound. If u do hear somthing find the noise and fix or replace the hose. Its called an air valve leak. I used to have a 1994 buick lesaber and i had the same problem. Let me know if it worked or not. Thank you.
If the check engine light turn on, need scanned the PCM to know exactly about what fault code is stored there; some Autozone or AutoShop could be this job for free. With this code number we could send additional details to diagnostic and solutions.
that means that something is wrong with your car. need to read the code or codes(trouble codes) in order to know what is wrong and the engine light wont go away till you fix the trouble. for that maybe youll need to take your car to a profetional. or first take it to an auto parts store they can read your trouble codes and could be something simple, but could be anything. good luck
No it's not have your engine check for oil leaks, also have then do a wet and dry cylinder compression test this will let you know if you are burning oil, also have them check the spark plug's.Hope this was helpful.
YOU MAY NEED TO CHANGE THE SPARKPLUGS, / CHECK THE BATTERY LEEDS ARE NOT WORE OR BROKE/ CHECK BATTERY TERMINALS ARE CLEAN AND TIGHT/ CHECK THAT THE HT LEADS ARE SECURELY CONNECTED TO THE DISTRIBUTOR CAP / CHECK THAT THE HT LEAD TO THE IGNITION COIL IS SECURELY CONNECTED/ CHECK THAT THE LT WIRING PLUG AT THE IGNITION COIL IS SECURELY CONNECTED .
Check out the fuel filter, also look for a fuel leak in the manaflod area. When you go to start it, turn the key on for 10 seconds before you try to start the engine and then turn it over and see if it doesn't start easier. If the fuel pump is getting weak it gives it a chance to build up pressure.
