I removed my radio from my car and replaced it with another. After putting in the other one I turned it on and had no power. I then checked the fuse and it was good. I then took the radio out and put the old one back in, it wouldn't play anymore either. The first radio had a cassette on it and the replacement has a cd player. The replacement came out of a buick park avenue.

The radio should have 2 fuses, 1 is batt 10 or 15 amp and 1 is acc 7.5 amp. The windows should have 1 or 2 fuses and relays.

Okay you stereo took power from the heater control this only proves that power should be independant and a dedicated line for the stereo.Your stereo probable draws more current that what was in there before. what wire should you hook up a new line2_25_2012_5_12_47_am.gif2_25_2012_5_13_37_am.gif

1998 sunfire installed stereo and now dash lights and tail lights blowing fuse

Get a wiring harness connector for your 1998 GM car - THEN carefully follow each wire color on the harness. Do NOT connect anything to the GM orange wire except "Memory". Do NOT connect anthing to the harness for "Lights" or "Dash" or "DIM" - you will blow fuses. Only connect the Power, the memory and the speakers - period. Then you'll be safe.

How to replace fuse for power windows in a 1998 buick le sabre?

How to replace a fuse ?

Do you even know that you have
a blown fuse?

If you do,are you aware that if you replace
it,it will blow again.

Are you aware that a fuse isn't a repair
or fix for anything. It is just a link in completing
a circuit, that will melt to protect everything
down stream, if a circuit experiences a
high current load

Just bought 1998 LeSabre w/56k miles. rear windows don't work from rear door switches or driver's door switches. Any known issues to check first?

You may have a broken power wire & it is usually in the driver's side door wiring harness at the flex point. Peal back the outer casing to expose the wires & repair any broken or frayed wires. You can solder & tape or use heat shrink if you have a heat gun. Good luck!

My son reversed the cables while trying to jump start his 98 toyota corrola. battery died, it was old so i replaced it. it now runs, however, the windows, stereo, mirrors and heater/ac do not work. also...

Unfortunately he probably fried the wires or blew all the fuses. You can also check the fuse box because i bet most of the fuses blew. You can probably replace the fuses and get a few it not all of the lost functions to work. If not you will probably need to have the car towed to a shop have have them put a new wiring harness in the car.

Audio Wiring

if you can't get a hold of any wiring manual for it...get a bulb and ground one end while looking for the hot wire, a multitester or voltmeter could verify the voltage for sure!
