I just came across this and was stupmed myself. Thos caps are like coils over the plug. There is a bolt holding it, if you unplug the wire and get the bolt out, you can pop the cap out and the plug sits below it. I dont' know if they are neccessary, the guy I changed them for had me leave them off (so he could change the plugs the next time), he is still driving with out issue, but thats at your own risk.

Polo classic 1.6 engine I replaced rear oil seal and sencer after all vehicle not spark, and injectors not spraying fuel.

The sensor you replaced is the engine speed sensor. There is a special tool that VW uses to align the ring on the crankshaft. If you do not align the timing marks, the vehicle will not start.

Replace valve seals on a 1988 mitsubishi mighty

mcdevito75 here, That is a shop only job, the entire cylinder head has to come off and either a rebuilt installed or your old head is taken to the rebuilder, Most heads are made of Allumimum and extra care has to be taken removeing them from the engine, also you"d need a special tool to reove the valves from the head and another special tool to remove and replace the valve seals. Have the shop do this job.

Hi, My son was recently given a 1986 Eldorado. If

I can't find any mention of a special tool for spark plugs in my Chilton manual for that year and they are usually pretty good at letting you know. There are 2 different sizes of plug wrench's and maybe that is what they are talking about. When you order the new plugs have a look at them before you leave and see if your wrench fits. Hope this helps.

I tried changing my sparks plugs

Just a spark plug socket 5/8 or 13/16 inch available at your auto parts store; v-6 or v-8
If you can not remove the spark plug wires you need to wiggle and turn them to get them off ; be careful not to much twisting and pulling or you may damage the spark plug wires, sometimes a u shaped tool; under the boot helps .

Spark Plug replacement instructions

It really is that hard, (1.5 hours) no special tools required except a good assortment of hand tools and flex head extensions. Buy a plug boot removal tool, if you tear the plug wire boots you will really be in a pickle. I never took the fuel lines loose, did the job many times, but my hands looked like hamburger when I was done.
