Sounds like you have a problem with your fuel pump relay. there is an underhood power distribution box, will be a plastic box with a lid on it. relay is in this box. it just unsnaps and a new one snaps in. the power distribution box might be on the fender or the firewall, but i'm sure you will find it.replace that relay and see what happens, think that will fix it. if it doesn't then i would suspect the wires to the relay. hope that helps

1989 ford bronco 2 ignition problems maybe

It could have a weak or failing ignition coil. The other thing I can think to look for would be an exhaust restriction.. (clogged catalytic converter)

1989 ford bronco 2 fuel issues

You might want to check these out. 1-make sure fuel cap vent is not blocked. 2-there is a fuel cut off switch normally located in the boot this may need resetting.3-get someone to run a diagnostic check using fuel delivery program....Good-luck.

Where is wiring to change gas gauge on 1989 ford bronco

The ground wire is in the harness with the fuel pump and sending unit.
The sending unit in the tank grounds the gauge on the dash.

1989 Ford Bronco. When I hooked up my battery I can hear the high pressure fuel pump running even though the key is turned off. I can start the truck up and it will run for a while. I took it for a spin...

if the key is off and the fuel pump still running then the fuel shut off switch and or the fuel pump is bad and needs replaced. More than likely the fuel pump might need to be replaced. (my 86 5.0 did the samething)

Fuel problem

Hi there.... in the passenger compartment you will find and inertia switch. It is usually located behind the kick panel on the pasenger side. Pull the kick panel of and you should find a box with a button (usually red) push the button in and you fuel pumps should work again.
