Question about 1989 Chevrolet K1500
I cant figure out how to remove the exisiting wiper blade assembly short of destroying it. it is assembled on a pin with a retaining spring but i can not figure out how to release it. not the whole arm, mind you but the blade assembly from the arm.
There is a keeper on the inside of the arm. its easier to get to if you remove the whole arm. lift the wiper arm and near the pivot point there is a little flat bar that sticks out along the arm itself. its about a quarter inch long. pull that out alittle and slide the arm off the peg. makes it easier for me. if you cannot get the wiper off still, destroy it. your replacing it anyway and the arm is pretty sturdy.
