MANUEL TRANSMISSION SLIPPING OUT OF FOURTH GEAR

A lot of suggestions - however It could be one of numerous problems - worn sincro ring - however they would all be above your capacity to fix - consult a reputable auto shop - you need someone that knows what they are talking about to physically look at the car to solve the problem - this will save you a lot of time and expense and heartache. ?

Blower motor quits working on an occasional basis. no response from fan control knob. fuses are o.k. ?????

There is a blower relay behind the glove box. This relay is your problem. The next time that the blower does not come on take your hand and bump the dash next to the glove box. The fan should come on. You have to bump it pretty hard. But 99 times out of 100 the relay is the problem.

Trying to locate where to put gear box oil in my 1999 hyundai excell

On a 96 excel manual its at the fill plug on the front side. If you look below the battery you will see two plugs in the gearbox. the top one id the fill plug. Good luck its pretty easy if its the same as mine. Make sure you use the right oil.

When the car is cold it has hard time going into drive.

Have the transmission fluid flushed, this symptom is indicitave of worn seals in the transmission pump.

I'd get second opinion from transmission repair place, but it does sound like an inspection is in order. Nothing against your mechanic, but transmission places are more experienced in these matters, and it may save you time & money in long run. Remember, an estimate does not mean you have to commit to repair right then & there.

I have a Hyundai excel 97, 5 speed manual, the thrush bearing sleeve is gone, can this just be replaced or do I have to get whole new gear box ? Is there any other model of hyundai gear box that I can use...

Should be able to replace the thrust, or clutch release, or throw-out bearing assy only, (all names i've heard it called over the years )but take a good look at clutch assy, just in case it's time & you want to save yourself R&R transmission twice in a short time.
