Question about 1991 Ford Bronco

Transmission Shifting Transmission was checked and flushed it was fine. However, it appears the transmission does not shift correctly all the time. Sometime from 1st to 2nd at 10 mph or maybe it will shift from 2nd to third and then back down to 2nd for no reason. Then other times it will shift perfectly and smoothly.

It's actually called the PCM (power control module) on that model and should be located behind the plastic side kick panel in the passenger floor board.

When my 1998 plymouth grand voyager runs a long time the transmission starts to have a hard time shifting or not shifting at all until it cools down.

How many miles? I'm guessing 150k atleast. A complete transmission flush/pan filter is probably your only option. Other than that, it is mechanical and needs to be rebuilt or the torque converter replaced, etc. Basically, if the flush/pan filter doesn't work, you probably need a new vehicle.

How often do I need to change the transmission fluid on a 1999 Toyota 4 Runner?

I use 50,000 miles as a start. If I see burnt fluid or detect shifting problems or have to start adding fluid more often I go ahead and have the Filter and Fluid changed. A lot of locations will want to use a back flush system to flush the transmission and refill it with Synthetic fluid. You Transmission uses an actual filter and not a filter screen so do not let them do that. You will regret it if you do. In most cases, if you aren't experiencing shifting problems and your fluid is not burned, a brownish color instead of Red, you should be fine. Just make sure the level is correct.

Problem with transmission not shifting correctly under hard accleration

I YOUR OVER 100.000 CLOSER TO 115-130.000- REPLACE TRANSMISSION. IF IT WONT GO IN REVERSE, LAGS POWER AS IF IT STARTED IN SECOND SHIFTS TO THIRD THEN BACK TO SECOND THERE IS A SOLENOID INSIDE TRANSMISSION MAY BE BAD YOU CAN INSPECT YOURSELF AND MAY AS WELL FLUSH ENTIRE TRANSMISSIN. NISSSAN OFFERS A KIT BUT NEED A TOOL TOO SO READ LABEL CAREFULLY. FLUSH SYSTEM COMPLETELY AND ONLY USE THE MATIC D FLUID ONLY AVAILABLE AT THE DEALERSHIP. ANY OTHER TYPE REGARDLESS OF WHAT YOU HAVE BEEN TOLD WILL CAUSE ERRRATIC SHIFTING SHAKING VIBRATION WHEN ENGINE HAS A LOAD BUT STOPS WHEN IN N. MAKE SURE LEVEL IS CORRECT TOO. I KNOW SHES FAST BUT PROVING IT COSTS MONEY...
LET ME KNOW IF THIS HELPS- I HAD TO CHANGE ALL OF THE ABOVE TO FIGURE OUT THIS STEP ELIMINATES ALL THE COSTLY THINGS THE SHOPS WILL DO TO SLOW FIXIN THE PROBLEM THEN AGAIN ITS TRIAL AND ERROR

1999 saturn shifting hard what do i do boys

Check the transmission fluid level and condition. Make sure the level is correct, if it is then it may be time for the transmission for service. The transmission service time is every 30,000 miles, and if it has not been serviced the Transmission line pressure solenoid could be gummed up with dirt. Have the transmission fluid flush and the transmission oil filter replaced and hope that helps. Hard shifting is a sign of fluid restriction in the valve body in the transmission and will lead to a costly transmission failure. Good luck and keep me posted, the other thing to that would give you a hard shift is a bad throttle position sensor. But that should have given a check engine or service engine light on.

1996 Saturn auto trans will not shift into 4th

Check your transmission fluid. If it is bright almost pinkish-red then it is not the transmission. If it is dark red or brown then you need to either get a flush done or replace your transmission depending on the severity.
