If the gas cap is off or defective this could be the source. GM's gas caps don't last, look at the o-ring and when it clicks, is it strong, and does it lock-on. If it all checks out then it could be a defective air-pump, or broken vacuum line.

Hi.. I got a chevy aveo year 2004 with engine check light fail and it won't start.. is it because of cam sensor?

You need to read the code out of the computer. There are so many reasons why the car might not start. You need to get a code reader from your local auto parts store or ebay, amazon, etc. Once you read the code, only then can you make a plan what to replace to get the car running again.

2004 Nissan Murano SL periodically wont start.

Sounds like the camshaft sensor is on the way out , the computer needs this info. to set the correct timing. once found the engine starts and is ok till the next start.

99 Civic Strong crank, no start.

run the fault codes and check for cam./crank position sensor check that the camshaft is turning ( broken timing belt) Have the CPU reset using a coder reader as the security program may be corrupted from the dead battery

Check engine light comes on truck barely runs, wont shift into 4 gear. unhooked battery to reset computer, ran 1/8 mile great, then went back to barely running.

you need to check the codes with an OBD 2 reader.
once you get the codes that will steer you in right direction.

Slopply accleration and once in awhile wrench warning ligtht comes on a car stalls. I turn car off and restart and goes away, but check engine light remains

Sounds like you need to goto autozone parts store and have them use the scan code reader and it will tell you what is wrong or what is needed to peplace, the guy there who scans it will give you a printed read out and it will list what needs replace,,,,,,,,,FREE,,wont cost a dime for him to do this

1999 PONTIAC BONNEVILLE SE wont start security lights come on windows wont work, had it happen once b4 thought was out of gas put gas in still same waited an hour started right up, never had prob again...

Had the same problem. Took it to local guy and he put it on the computer and found the wire running underneath the driver side floor mat had gone bad. Had to do with the security shut-off, which this wire affected. Replaced that wire, and the car has been running great ever since - happened 19 months ago.

Jeep starts just fine and runs fine when cold but once gets up to temp and you shut the car off and try to restart while still hot it starts hard and wants to die if you shift into gear but by feathering...

I'd check for trouble codes if you haven't already. Sometimes emissions related things like egr (exhaust gas recirculation valves, pcv (positive crankcase ventilation or even heat riser valves can become faulty and cause problems when the vehicle reaches peak operating temperatures. check for dtc codes and let me know if you come up with any

Its chuggin like a train

sound like maybe a temp sensor malfunction, it is telling the computer it is warmer than it really is so it is not adding enough fuel , have the sensor tested
