Very first thing i would try is a full tune up. This means the fuel filter , air filter, plugs and wires and possibly the coils. If this still does not fix it then try doing an emissions clean on it. What this does is it cleans out the intire fuel system and is very simple to do. Depending on the transmission on whether its a standard or automatic could be a bad tranny.

Smoke smells when ac on nissan sentra

The speed control of your fan has resisters that are in the venting system to blow air on them to keep them cool. If they overheat and or burn you will lose your low and medium speeds of the fan. If you run the fan at full see if the smell goes away. Your engine could be burning oil on the outside of the engine block, make sure that the weatherstrip where your hood meets the fresh air intake grill is sealing tight.

My 2001 nissan sentra won't accelerate what you think the problem might be?

I would check the fuel filter. They should be changed every 20,000 miles, also the air filter. It maybe time for a tune up. Is the check engine light on?

can you hear this through the stereo?  If so you may have a problem created somewhere in your ignition , where the stereo is picking up a fluctuating signal.
